A dog like no other I have owned. Picked for the show ring due to his outgoing personality and calmness, taking everything in his stride. This fantastic personality also helped him go through twelve months of vetenary visits.

Trevor is a large mottled red and white dog. His puppy-hood was very uneventful, but at 11 months he suffered from the dreaded bloat. I had never experienced this distressing condition before and I hope I never do again.

Trevor was very vocal about his pain and this saved his life. Our vets were absolutely marvellous and Trevor soon became a firm favourite with all his carers.

Trevor's bloat was not the norm, no fermenting food in his gut, just air. It seems Trevor would suck air into his tummy when he was hungry, so three meals a day were prescribed, so his tummy was never empty, this seemed to solve the problem. However, Trevor liked the vets and seemed to invent reasons to spend more time there.

The next emergency was an attack by a cat. Trevor nearly lost his eye through this incident, and for a while the vets were sure he would. But the vets stitched his third eye lid over his eye and it gradually repaired itself, and within a couple of weeks Trevor's eye looked as good as new. The vets were amazed and so was I, and in the words of my vet 'a miracle'.

Being a large dog Trevor had a lot of loose skin, especially on his head and neck. If Trevor put his head to the floor he couldn't see a thing. So it was decided Trevor would benefit from a face lift, and benefit he did. Although his face was a bit swollen for a while the hair started to grow back, the stitches came out and Trevor had a new face.

Through all of this Trevor remained stoical, pain seemed to be ignored. Trevor constantly wagged his tail, loved cuddles and even managed to give big, wet licks.

Trevor now lives with a family and another Woferlow puppy. From reports received, Trevor has become a favourite of the eldest son and the neighbours.

When ever I visit my vets, everyone still asks after Trevor.

Trevor had made a great impact on everyone involved in his care.
